Club Reopening March 29th!

Coranvirus Update - Club Reopening

Good news!  The club's reopening will happen as follows, presuming there are no changes to the government's roadmap:

Monday March 29th
The club will reopen for singles and doubles social play and coaching. The "Rule of 6" will apply for social tennis so that will mean one mix in is allowed after an initial "four". Hence, we expect adult club nights to restart from Monday 29th under that rule. Junior Night re-start is tbc - it's not clear yet how we will do that within the rules.

As doubles will be allowed we expect to open without the need to book tennis courts for all social play. Members will still be able to book our 6 floodlit courts for evening floodlit use outside of coaching times.

Individual and group coaching for adults and juniors will recommence from this date too. Challenge Tennis are working on their programme and waiting for LTA maximum group size guidance. They will communicate the programme by email to coaching users and via our next newsletter as soon as possible.

The clubhouse will remain shut for all use apart. Access to the toilets is expected to be ok but is to be confirmed.

We do not know when club matches within the Bucks Shield or Aylesbury & District leagues will recommence.

Monday April 12th
The Rule of 6 may be lifted for social play - to be confirmed.

Outside tea / coffee / cake service on Friday mornings and bar service on Club Nights can resume. We will communicate more on what days and dates these will restart from nearer the time.

Use of the clubhouse will still be restricted to toilet use only.

Monday May 17th
We expect to be able to offer tea / coffee / cake and bar service indoors and the clubhouse can reopen for member use and yoga and pilates classes with our teachers.

Nearly there, just a month or so more. The Committee will be meeting late in March to discuss our membership renewal approach for the start of the new membership season on June 1st. We plan to communicate more on that at the end of March as we reopen.
