At Great Missenden Lawn Tennis Club – GMLTC for short – we pride ourselves on being a club that welcomes players of all abilities, from beginners to potential ATP tour players. We offer a warm, friendly atmosphere with a vibrant junior and adult membership at Buckinghamshire’s most beautifully-located tennis club. Memberships are available now for Adults, Juniors, Families, Couples, Weekday Members, Playing Parents, Non-playing Members and Students. You’ll be pleased that there’s no need for any prospective new member to be “played in” or coach-assessed – everyone is welcome!

We call GMLTC a "Grand Slam" club because our 18 courts offer members the opportunity to play on surfaces similar to those at the pro circuit Grand Slams of Wimbledon (grass), Roland Garros (synthetic clay), Flushing Meadows (hard court) and Melbourne Park (also hard court). You can take an aerial tour of our club via the link below.  The video was shot in 2016 and in 2021 we now have 9 artifical clay, 4 acrylic ahrd court, 4 grass and 1 tarmac court. 6 of the artifical clay are floodlit. 

Once you have paid your membership there are no other fees to pay to book a court or use floodlights. We organise many social play sessions during the week and weekends including Ladies Night (Mondays), Mens Night (Tuesdays), Mixed Night (Thursdays), Junior Night (Fridays), mid-week day-time organised sessions for ladies and men and "Easy Like.." on Sundays mornings.  Most of these in non-covid restricted times are turn up and mix in doubles with some opting to play singles. During the winter we also organise a Mixed Box League and Sunday Fun Tennis in teams. We usually have 16 teams playing in the Bucks Shield and Aylesbury & District leagues so there are plenty of opportunities to play team tennis for those who wish to.

Whether you’re looking for fun social tennis, improver tennis, cardio tennis, organised doubles and singles tennis on evenings or weekends, tournaments, coaching or team competitions in local leagues, the Bucks Premier Division or National Leagues, GMLTC has something for you. Our emphasis is on everyone enjoying tennis so an extensive playing and social programme is provided all year round, rain or shine.
